Qualifier

Place three IPSC / IDPA targets at 7, 15, and 25 yards

Face the 7 yard target, handgun holstered and ready, hands naturally at side. At the beep, draw and fire six rounds at the target. Reload and holster, then record the time.

Repeat the process on the 15 yard target, record the time and repeat again
on the 25 yard target. You now have three times recorded.

Score targets and add penalties as follows:

        No penalties for -0 zone hits
        For each -1 zone hit, add 0.5 seconds
        For each -3 zone hit, add 1.5 seconds
        For each miss, add 2.5 seconds


This drill will test the following skills:

        Drawing and indexing the gun
        Recognizing an acceptable sight picture
        Calling the shot
        Recovering from recoil and pressing and releasing the trigger smoothly

Master Class:          14.18 seconds or less

A Class                      14.19 - 18.23

B Class                      18.24 - 24.99

C Class                      25.00 - 35.80

D Class                      35.81 - 52.02

Novice Class            52.03 seconds or more
